Stack Ring
The Stack Ring adds a light to heavy sizzle to cymbals and hi-hats, as well as dampening the overtones on a snare/tom and adding a light metallic jingle.
The small stack ring has a mounting steel wire apparatus with two openings to hang the sizzler in different ways on cymbals. It also has a small magnet that keeps the sizzler attached to the hoop on triple-flanged hoops (diecast hoops are not magnetized).
The regular stack ring is longer and has enough surface area to strike, which has a chimelike, glassy tone. Both stack ring styles add a “shattering glass” effect to the crash sound of most cymbals.
