The ML re:Creation cymbals are Timothy’s take on a classic cymbal sound from the one of the greatest drummers ever. They feature unique cuts (or “scoops”) at the edges that lower the fundamental pitch, clear out the midrange frequencies, and add a touch of complexity to what would otherwise be a fairly clean sounding cymbal. According to this drummer “A mark of a great cymbal is a lot of highs, a lot of lows, and nothing in the middle”. This series aims for that kind of sound.
ATTN: “Prototype” cymbals contain noticeable “pits” from the foundry. They do not affect the durability of the instrument, but they are not pretty to look at. That’s why this cymbal is discounted from the original $649 amount. The blue tape on the image shows where some are.
