Mike clark ROOTS SERIES

The Roots line was developed in conjunction with the great jazz and funk drummer, Mike Clark. These cymbals are designed to be the quintessential “NYC jazz sound”. The stick holds together and doesn't wash out, and it sits on top of a bed of dark complexity. These cymbals are phenomenal gigging cymbals and are designed to sit in the mix with other acoustic instruments.

Solstice

The Solstice line was developed in conjunction with Scott Pellegrom. These cymbals are designed to be dark and controlled, while opening up with a quick, explosive crash. They feature a medium-low profile, smaller bell, and heavy “topography” (hammering) for a very versatile, “modern” sound.

Labyrinth

The Labyrinth Series is designed to be complex and full of character. They have taller, “umbrella” profiles that produce a growly tone and nice “kah” stick definition.

Landmark

The Landmark Series is dark, warm, and articulate while having a beautiful, lush crash. These cymbals are versatile and have a wide range of musical applications.

New Prism

The Prism Series features shimmery, crystalline-like high frequencies, overtop of rich and deep tones only found in hand-hammered cymbals. This series represents a brighter and more harmonically balanced “vintage” sound, akin to trans-stamp As and vintage 602s.

Tributary

The Tributary Series represents an exploration into funky, inspiring, and “deep” vintage cymbal sounds. These cymbals are very complex, and are akin to many “old K” cymbals from pre-1977.

OLD K RE:CREATIONS

These cymbals are an homage to arguably the most influential jazz cymbals ever made. Each one in this batch is unique, built to capture the vibe of a specific era from the history of these cymbals, made in Istanbul from the turn of the century until 1977. OSK models reference the Old Stamp Ks. ISK references the Intermediate Stamps. NSK references the New Stamps. They are made with experimental processes to simulate “aging”, use hand-formed bells (“HFB”) for most of the models, and are heavily hand-hammered to capture a dark, vintage tone.
