Cymbal Commission
Cymbal commissions come in 3 types: Redux, Standard, and Custom-tailored.
The average lead time on a TR commission is typically around 12 weeks depending on Timothy’s work load. If the lead time is longer we will let you know!
All redux and standard commissions include one demo video near the end of the manufacturing process for you to sign off on and/or request minor tweaks before finalization. The custom-tailored option is a deeper dive into very specific cymbal sounds (ie. from records, videos, etc.). With this option there will be a couple videos back and forth, and Timothy will do as much research as required to capture a sound inspired by the reference (since a perfect “clone” is never possible).
IMPORTANT: If Timothy completes your cymbal and you desire more than just a simple tweak to the finalized cymbal (ie. additional profile shaping, lathing, removing and reapplying a patina), there will be an additional charge of $50 to cover the extra work. Mild tweaks are included in the modification, and we will discuss options before placing the charge on your commission. If you simply don’t want the cymbal created for you, we can discuss swapping it for another cymbal or starting over. This may incur the entire charge of the commission fee ($50-$250 depending on the type of commission ordered). If you ask for a refund, we will issue one minus the commission fee ($50-$250 depending on the type of commission ordered).
