The Sizzle Stick creates the effect of rivets in your cymbal. The rigid wire used allows only the copper stops to touch the cymbal. This keep the cymbal from being overly choked and allows it to resonate. The original is subtle, smooth, and quieter than the “bell” version, which includes little brass bells for a louder sizzle. The sizzle stick “beaded” version incorporates flexible bead wiring and aluminum stops for a traditional sizzle sound. Only the aluminum stops touch the cymbal. This also keeps the cymbal from being overly choked and allows it to resonate.
